A 2018 award is in court. It is not this week’s plot price.

Hindustan Times, 1 October 2026. This is a 2018 award fight, not a new plot price.

Hindustan Times reported on 1 October 2026 that an additional district judge issued a show-cause notice to GMADA’s land acquisition collector in Motiaz Royale Estate versus GMADA. The court, in a 30 September order, said GMADA had not complied with a 10 February 2026 direction to deposit the entire compensation. An earlier show-cause was dated 21 May 2026. The matter of releasing compensation already deposited was adjourned to 30 October 2026.

The land is award No. 569, dated 18 May 2018. The court noted the original LA-7 record showed ₹4,06,09,241 payable, later changed to ₹1,25,81,455 in amended LA-7 and LA-9 records. Those are compensation figures in a contempt dispute. They are not the rate of a plot you can buy this week, and they are not Motiaz Royal Citi in Zirakpur by another name unless the sale deed says so.

The decision: if you are buying land that still depends on a GMADA compensation award, ask which award number is in the file and whether the deposit was actually made. A court date of 30 October is a reason to wait for the paper, not a reason to token a neighbouring plot.
