The Tribune, 14 September 2026. A meeting was called. We do not yet have a report that the 29 September sitting happened.

The Tribune reported on 14 September 2026 that, after the Punjab and Haryana High Court told GMADA to follow the prescribed procedure, the authority called IT City allottees and transferees to a meeting on 15 September. The Principal Secretary, Housing, was to explain an enhancement charge of ₹7,845 per square yard. Officials told the paper about 7,000 allottees were affected by a January 2026 decision, and that about 200 industrial plot owners were hit harder than residential plot owners. GMADA said it had deposited 50 percent of the enhanced compensation to original landowners under court directions, and that further relief depended on those cases.

On 25 September the same paper quoted an IT City councillor fearing that a 29 September meeting on the same charges might not happen, because the GMADA office was still disordered after the Enforcement Directorate search. We have not seen a report of what that later meeting decided. Do not treat a fear, or a WhatsApp forward, as a waiver.

The decision: if you already hold an IT City plot, ask GMADA for the enhancement calculation on your own site number before you pay or before you buy a resale that claims the charge is ‘included’. ₹7,845 a square yard is the figure the authority was explaining. It is not a new reserve price, and it is not the price of a flat in Sector 66.
