A notification is not a shop you can book.

Sector 87 and Sector 103 are notifications, not brochures

For anyone searching property in Mohali, GMADA Sector 87 commercial hub Mohali, GMADA industrial park, Sector 103 Mohali.

The Tribune, 17 July 2026: resettlement areas for a commercial hub and an industrial park. Nobody has a shop to sell you there yet.

On 17 July 2026 The Tribune reported two notifications from Housing and Urban Development. One declares 196.4 acres in Manakmajra, Nanumajra, Sohana and Sambhalki a resettlement area for commercial infrastructure in Sector 87. The other declares 171 acres in Dhurali and Saneta a resettlement area for an industrial park in Sector 103. The Sector 87 note had already gone into the Punjab Government Gazette and onto the GMADA site on 9 March, with objections still open.

The rehabilitation scheme, approved on 8 May 2026, offers an annuity or a lump sum of ₹5 lakh to each affected family, and a resettlement allowance of ₹50,000 where a livelihood is hit. Those figures are for the families on the land. They are not a price for a buyer.

This sits on top of the 30 March Tribune note: Punjab moving to acquire 11,103 acres across Greater Mohali and New Chandigarh — seven townships, Aerotropolis pockets, a Sector 87 centre modelled on Chandigarh’s Sector 17, and industrial land in 101 and 103. Sector 101’s park, about 488 acres, was still at Section 4. Letters of intent are not a SCO.
